Last updated: July 2026

Concerto (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a mobile application and website for logging, ranking, and sharing live music experiences. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and username. You may optionally provide a profile photo, bio, home city, and phone number.

Concert logs. We store the concerts you log, including artist, venue, date, tier rating, notes, and any photos or videos you upload.

Social activity. We store follows, likes, comments, and posts you create or interact with.

Device information. We collect your device’s push notification token to deliver notifications. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.

Location. If you provide a home city in Settings, we geocode it to coordinates to power the Nearby Shows feature. We do not collect real-time GPS location.

Contacts. If you use “Find from Contacts,” we request access to your device contacts solely to match phone numbers against registered users. Contact data is processed on-device and never stored on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve the Concerto service
  • Show your concert logs, rankings, and profile to other users according to your visibility settings
  • Send push notifications for likes, comments, follows, and new shows from artists you follow
  • Surface nearby upcoming shows based on your home city
  • Let you find friends who are already on Concerto

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with advertisers.

Profile Visibility

Concerto gives you control over who can see your profile. In Settings, you can set your profile to:

  • Public — anyone can view your profile and ranked lists
  • Followers only — only approved followers can see your profile
  • Private — your profile is hidden from all other users

Posts you share are visible to users consistent with your profile visibility setting at the time of posting.

Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use Supabase for database and authentication, and Mux for video hosting. These providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, and personal information are permanently removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

Some information may remain in backups for a short period before being purged, consistent with our backup rotation schedule.
